Dating your Baby

Most people contact SCGC with their serial number and have Richard look through the big book to find details about the guitar. In most cases all of your questions can be answered with a little investigating on your own. Get a magnifying glass and look in this location on all SCGC guitars to get the date and autograph of the luthier that voiced your top. This is probably one of the most accurate ways to authenticate and identify the time period your instrument was crafted.
